Configure Netscape News for Windows
- Open Netscape from the icon on your desktop.
- Click on the Edit menu.
- Click on Preferences from the
drop down menu.
- Click the plus sign next to Mail &
Newsgroups in the hand left side of the window. A series
of options will be displayed.
- Click once on Newsgroup Server
so that the entry is highlighted.
- Place a tick next to Ask me before downloading
more than. Enter the maximum number of messages you want
to have downloaded at a time for each newsgroup.
- Click the Add button located
on the right edge of the window towards the top.
- In the box labeled Server enter
news.net2u.com.au in lower case letters.
- In the box labeled Port enter
the number 119.
- Do not place a tick in either Supports
encrypted connections (SSL) or Always use name and
password.
- Click the OK button.
- Your newsgroup settings are complete.
- Click the OK button to save
these settings.
