Configure Netscape News for Macintosh
- Open Netscape by double-clicking its icon on
the desktop.
- Select Edit from the menu options
located at the top of the window.
- Click on Preferences from the
drop down menu.
- In the window that is now open, click on the
blue arrow that is next to Mail & Groups. A series
of options will now be displayed.
- Click once on Groups Server.
- In the lright hand side of the window is a box
titled Discussion groups (news) server. Enter news.net2u.com.au
in this box in lower case letters.
- In the Port box enter the number
119.
- Do not place a tick in the Secure
box.
- Place a tick next to Notify me when downloading
more than and set the number of messages you want to download
before receiving a warning.
- Click the OK button to complete
setting up your news groups settings.
