• Open Internet Explorer by double-clicking its icon on the desktop.
• Select the Edit menu option located on the menu bar at the top of the window or screen.
• Select Preferences from the drop down menu.

• A new window will open titled Internet Explorer Preferences.
• In the left hand side of the window click on Home/Search.
• In the right hand side of the window is an area titled Home Page. Type www.net2u.com.au in the box titled Address.
• In the area titled Search Page, enter the name of your favourite search engine in the Address box. If you do not have a favourite search engine or site, try http://www.excite.com.au/.

• In the left hand side of the window scroll down to Network and click on this entry.
• Click once on Proxies.
• In the right hand side of the window, place a dot next to Enabled. If you do not want to access the Internet through a proxy server, place a dot next to Disabled.
• Next to Protocol select All.
• For the Method field, select Normal.
• In the box titled Address: http:// enter the name of the proxy server nearest to you.
  

• In the left hand side of the window, scroll down to email and click on this entry.
• Click once on General.
• In the right hand side of the window is an area titled Personal Settings. In the box titled Real name enter your name. You can use upper and lower case letters plus spaces in this box.
• In the email address box, enter your Net2U email address. This takes the form username@net2u.com.au where username is your Net2U username. Enter the email address in lower case letters.
• Enter your organisation name in the box labeled Organization if you wish, otherwise leave this box empty.
• In the box titled SMTP host enter mail.net2u.com.au. Enter this address in lower case letters.
• In the box titled Account ID enter your Net2U username in lower case letters.
• In the box titled Mail host enter mail.net2u.com.au. Enter this address in lower case letters.
• Place a dot in the circle next to POP3.
• In the box labeled Password enter your Net2U password in lower case letters.
• Click the OK button at the bottom of the window then close Internet Explorer to save the new settings.
