• Open Internet Explorer by double-clicking its icon on the desktop.
• Select the Edit menu option located on the menu bar at the top of the window or screen.
• Select Preferences from the drop down menu.

• In the left hand side of the window scroll down to Network and click on this entry.
• Click once on Proxies.
• In the right hand side of the window place a dot next to Enabled.
• Next to Protocol select all.
• For the Method field select Normal.
• In the box titled Address: http:// enter the name of the proxy server nearest to you.
  
• In the box titled Port enter the number 80
• Click the OK button to save the settings. Then close Internet Explorer.
